Each year, USTA North Carolina honors those who go above and beyond, both on and off the court. The awards recognize the organizations, volunteers, and players who grow the game and continue to make tennis special in North Carolina. The awards nomination period opens in May and runs through August 31st of each year.
The 2023 recipient of the USTA NC "Member Organization of the Year" Award is St James Tennis Association.
On September 30, Laura Kogler accepted the award, on behalf of SJTA, at the NCTA Community Development Workshop in Greensboro. Applicants for the award are based on service to the association’s members through events and activities which support the mission of USTA. Additionally considered are the association’s commitment to the broader community and support of USTA’s goal to make tennis the sport for a lifetime.
We are proud to have this honor for our tennis association here at St James. This is a tribute to the members of our association supported by SJTA leadership, our teaching professionals, and the Troon facilities.
